Alpharetta’s Rock Mill Park Receives 2016 STREAM Award

chalkboard congratulations: Gagne Heating and Air Community Blog

Gagne Heating and Air is proud to be a part of a community like Alpharetta, Georgia, and this latest award is one of the many reasons.

Rock Mill Park recently received the 2016 STREAM award for the region’s watershed/storm water project of excellence.  It was presented at the 2016 Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning Districts 15th Anniversary celebration.

This STREAM program honors environmentally-friendly projects that serve as a model for other communities.  They also consider how thoughtful and creative the project is and the degree of impact it has on the region.

Alpharetta councilman Jason Binder had this to say about the park’s recognition:

The hard work of the city’s Recreation and Parks Department shows in every feature of the park.  With walk, run, and bike access points to the greenway trail and the park’s ability to be used for all types of events such as field trips, press conferences, and water festivals, I am not surprised the park was recognized.

This is not the first time that Rock Mill Park has been honored.  The American Society of Landscape Architects, The American Society of Civil Engineers Georgia Section, and the Georgia Association of Water Professionals all have recognized the functionality and the beauty of Rock Mill Park in the past.

Congratulations to Rock Mill Park on this outstanding award!  You make us proud to be part of such an amazing community that cares about their people, children, and the beauty of the area.
